Still, all of the 19 hijackers on September 11 were Muslims. One Islam cannot be extracted from the numerous offshoots, branches, and sects that make the world's 1.3 billion Muslims as ideologically, religiously, and politically fractured as the other two monotheistic faiths, Christianity and Judaism. The short answer is "no." We're not battling Islam, because there is no such thing as one Islam.
